It was all fun and games at the Nordstrom store at Yorkdale Shopping Centre on Tuesday, December 1, as the new retailer opened its doors to host the launch of Game Night, a fundraiser in support of care and research at Baycrest Health Sciences.
“Game Night is all about enjoying time with friends and family, playing your favourite games and eating delicious food, while raising much needed funds for Baycrest’s ongoing work in the areas of aging and brain health care and research,” says Hailey Remer, co-chair of Game Night. “I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know many of the researchers and health care providers at Baycrest through the compassionate care and support they have provided my family over the years. For those not as familiar with Baycrest, this event helps to bridge the gap.”
From January 12 to 22, 2017, families and friends across Toronto will be hosting fun and intimate Game Night parties in their homes. To host a Game Night, register your event by visiting www.baycrest.org/gamenight. This website acts as the party planning hub, complete with event invitation templates, meal ideas, themes, game recommendations and easy to use fundraising tools.
“Whether it’s Minute to Win it, Heads Up!, poker or BeanBoozled, all games are welcome at Game Night,” says Erica Godfrey, co-chair of Game Night. “Brain health affects us all, no matter what age we are. Join the fun and help us make a difference right now and for the future.”
