Baycrest Foundation fuels the leading experts in brain health

Research

A world leader in the study of aging and human brain function, Baycrest is the scientific headquarters for the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA), leading a team of more than 300 researchers across Canada working to defeat dementia. The Rotman Research Institute at Baycrest is a preeminent international centre for the study of aging and human brain function.

Innovation

By providing funding and expert advice, the Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation powered by Baycrest has helped more than 400 innovators develop and test solutions that will keep older adults healthier.

Baycrest Care

Care

For more than a century, Baycrest has provided residential care to older adults. It serves the community with outpatient clinics, a post-acute care hospital and memory and mental health programs

Education

Fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, Baycrest has trained thousands of healthcare providers, created ~150 staff e-learning courses and holds more than 200 educational telehealth sessions a year.

Programs

Event participation and general donations are not the only way to support Baycrest. Many community groups, consisting of lay and professional supporters have established creative ways to lend their expertise and time. You’re invited to join them or begin your own program.

Volunteer

Many opportunities to learn, grow and give back. Volunteers are involved in almost every area on the Baycrest campus. Assignments address the purpose of the organization and mobilize volunteers in truly meaningful ways — reflecting their various skills, expertise and talents.
