Women Friends of Baycrest is a motivated group of supporters who believe in community and a cause.

Together, they have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help Baycrest lead the way in care and research on memory and brain health. They also create special memories by organizing events that engage and enlighten.

Women Friends of Baycrest will begin its 10th year in 2024.

Now more than ever, it is important for us to support crucial brain health research at Baycrest.

Every 3 seconds, someone in the world is diagnosed with dementia. Time is of the essence, so Baycrest is working rigorously to develop and test novel interventions that slow or even reverse the progression of the disease.

Depression can nearly double a person’s risk of developing dementia later in life. This year, we are keenly interested in the work of Dr. Linda Mah and Dr. Jean Chen as they examine the intersection of these two conditions with the hope of introducing earlier interventions to prevent dementia.
