Baycrest Friends of the Foundation

A New Wave of Young Leaders

Baycrest Friends of the Foundation (BFF) is an initiative for those in their 20’s and 30’s who want to give back to the community by raising funds and awareness for Baycrest’s essential work in brain health and aging.

For many of us, the risk of dementia is all too real. Whether it is watching a grandparent suffer from cognitive decline, worrying about a parent who’s starting to encounter aging challenges, or facing the future around our own aging and brain health – it affects us all.

Champions of Baycrest

BFF aims to engage the next generation to champion Baycrest’s mission of delivering transformative research, care, innovation, and education in aging and brain health. Together, our support of Baycrest helps create a world where every older person lives with purpose, fulfillment and dignity.

Get Involved with Us

Through the BFF community, enjoy opportunities to network with peers and industry professionals, all while supporting a great cause.

Key Elements of BFF

  • BFF Bespoke Programming – Semi-annual programs specifically by and for this group that will serve to educate about Baycrest in ways that are fun, engaging and meaningful.

  • Niche Event Opportunities – Invitations to attend Baycrest’s industry group events, through the Real Estate Professionals and Professional Advisory (for financial, legal and accounting professionals), Gen Next’s decades dance, and more.

  • BFF x Baycrest Signature Events – Form teams and take part Baycrest’s marquee events, the Pro-Am hockey tournament and the Bike for Brain Health cycling event.

  • Personal Engagement – We want to foster a culture of giving, celebrating gifts at all levels and all different ways, both personally, and through channels like sponsorships, hosting fundraisers, donating proceeds or services, etc.
