Our research headquarters and many of the clinics at Baycrest are housed in a beautiful, new, state-of-the-art space; all thanks to the Kimel family’s long-standing and generous support.

Several floors of the Kimel Family Building were rebuilt in recent years to provide spacious, accessible and energy-efficient quarters for researchers, clinicians and outpatients.

Work began in fiscal year 2015-16 on a fully-renovated, expanded entrance and lobby area off the parking lot at Bathurst Street to better accommodate staff, visitors and clients to the building. This high-traffic hub also received upgraded heating, cooling and ventilation units to help control indoor temperature year-round.

On December 12, Warren and Debbie Kimel attended an intimate mezuzah dedication ceremony to officially open the new Kimel Family Entryway and Kimel Family Building, formerly known as the Brain Health Complex.

Baycrest is grateful to the Kimels for their ongoing dedication and visionary leadership.
